Eligibility for admission
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st
December of the year of admission.
- The minimum educational requirements shall be passing of:
Higher
Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course),Or Senior
School Certificate Examination(10+2),Pre-Degree Examination (10+2),Or
An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university
with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)and English with minimum of
50% aggregate marks.
- Candidate shall be medically fit.
Candidates who have passed
Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education,
KERALA or Examination recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in
Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put
together are eligible.
Admission Procedure
Application Form
Candidates should submit their application in the form, which is obtained
from SP Fort hospital on payment of Rs 500/-in cash or by DD of Rs 550/-
in favour of the Managing Director, SP Fort College of Nursing,
Fort,Thiruvananthapuram. The application fee once paid is not refundable
at any cost.
Submission of applications
- Application form should be filled carefully in block letters and
without any ambiguity.
- Application must be filled by the candidates themselves neatly and
legibly.
- Photograph must affixed properly wherever necessary.
- No column in the form should be left unfilled
- If no entry is applicable in particular column please write NA/Nil
as the case may be
- Application form must be signed by the candidates, as well the
parents/guardian in the space provided for the purpose
- Incomplete application and those received after the closing date
will not be entertained at any cost.
Documents Required
- Relevant page of SSLC to provide age and date of birth.
- Mark sheet of SSLC,+2 or equivalent examination and concerned degree
certificate.
- AllotmentMemo(for merit students).
- Pass Certificate.
- Transfer Certificate.
- Course and conduct certificate.
- Community certificate (in case of desired communities).
- Income certificate (in case of desired candidates).
- Migration certificate (in case applicable).
- Five recent passport size color photos.
Fees
Candidates should remit the fees as stipulated by the Government during
the first month of every academic year. Personal expences including
uniform, textbooks, mess money etc. will be met by the candidates itself.
Examination fee will be charged as per university rule. Fees once paid
will not be refundable.
Rules & Regulations
- The students will be directly under the control of the Principal and
should abide by the rules & regulations of the institution.
- The students should always maintain the standard and decorum of the
college.
- Students are liable for dismissal from misconduct, inefficiency or
neglect of duty in accordance with the rules and regulations of the
institution.
- Students should submit their assignments and complete their records
on time, if otherwise, will not be permitted to attend classes or
clinicals.
- Parent teacher meetings are organized after each sessional
examination and during emergency.
- The possession and use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in
the college campus, hostel premises and clinicals.
- Ragging in any form inside or outside the campus is considered as
criminal offense and anyone found indulged in ragging, stern action will
strictly be enforced as per the guidelines of the Honorable Supreme
Court of India.
- Membership of the recognized students association is compulsory.
- The authority will not be responsible for the loss of any valuable
belongings of the students.
- The students should wear the prescribed uniform throughout the class
or duty hours and it should kept neat and tidy.
- The students who do not obtain 50% marks in the internal examination
will not be permitted to appear for the university examination.
- A student must have a minimum of 80% attendance in theory and
practicals in each subject for appearing the university examination.
- A student must have 100% attendance in each of the practical area
before award of degree.
- General conduct or behavior will be considered as a parameter for
finalizing the internal assessment.
